Amanda's Tasty Vegan Pate

Ingredients



Ingredients (use vegan versions):

  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup engivita yeast
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup grated carrot
  • 1 cup mushrooms
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1/3 cup brown rice miso
  • juice of one lemon
  • 1/4 cup tamari or soy sauce or Bragg's Liquid Aminos
  • squirt of Tabasco or vegan Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 cup white vegan wine.. optional.. but I must say it certainly adds a nice kick!!!


Directions:


In blender add together the mushrooms
with rest of wet ingredients. After
it is nice and mushy, add the
sunflower seeds. Mix until a nice
pasty consistency. Combine together
grated carrot and rest of dry
ingredients in a bowl. Stir until
mixed together.


You can either use a shallow loaf pan
or a pie plate depending on how you
want it to look.


Cook in 325 degrees F oven for 1 hour.. or
until it becomes brown on top and
separates from the side of baking dish.


This can be served many ways.. on vegan crackers
or sliced on a salad.. the
possibilities are endless!!
